# Create playtable

`POST /api/playtables`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://beta.getsales.io/playtables/v1`
- URL: `https://beta.getsales.io/playtables/v1/api/playtables`
- Auth: HTTP bearer and API key in header `Team-SID`

Create a table plus its two default views (object_type=company and people, name "Default view", empty columns/sort/filter) in one transaction; the returned row carries both view sids. Idempotent dedup on (team_sid, name): a duplicate returns the existing row with already_exists:true. config.auto_run defaults to false - paid fields do not fire on import until enabled. The usual next step is create_data_source targeting the new sid.

Contract:
- MCP tool `create_playtable`, registry package `mcp.playtables/playtables`, mount `playtables.tables`.
- Operation `create`, response envelope `create`.
- Flags: none.

## Request body

- CreatePlaytableRequest: Request body of `create_playtable`.
  - `name` string, required: Table name; unique per team - the dedup natural key.
  - `description` string, nullable: Free text about the table (max 2000), shown on it.
  - `config` object: Default { auto_run: false }.
    - `auto_run` boolean, required: When true, action fields fire automatically on rows entering the table (empty→queued). Default false.
  - `agent_sid` string, nullable: The AI SDR for this table (ub_ag_…, from search_agents on unibox); left out or null = the team's default agent. The prefix is all playtables checks.

## Response `200`

`create` success envelope.

Null = the team's default agent, whichever it is. The table's own setup of before (ai_sdr_setup, 2026-10-12 to 2026-10-30) became an agent of its own in step 10.3.
