# Move data source duplicates

`POST /api/data-source-items/move`

## Request

Move the duplicate people a source found into its table after the fact: the rows the policy left where they were (status duplicate, action skipped) move with their stage, owner and history; every kind of source. sids picks some, absent = every one left in place; counts.groups.already_in_playtable_sid on a search says how many and where. Companies never move and count as left. 409 no_target_playtable when the table is gone.

Contract:
- MCP tool `move_data_source_duplicates`, registry package `mcp.playtables/data_source_items`, mount `playtables.sources`.
- Operation `action`, response envelope `action`.
- Flags: mass action: this verb's own request accepts a filter or targets[] set, which the owning service drains.

## Request body

- MoveDataSourceDuplicatesRequest: Request body of `move_data_source_duplicates`.
  - `data_source_sid` string, required: The source whose duplicates move into its own table (ds_sc_…).
  - `sids` string[]: The items to move (ds_it_…), a page of the review at most; absent = every duplicate the policy left in place.

    - `team_sid` string, nullable: The team this call ran in (the token team, or the team_sid override). Null when unauthenticated; absent from pre-2026-08-20 backends.
    - `actor_type` string, nullable: user | agent | api_key | system. Null when unauthenticated; absent from pre-2026-08-20 backends.

## Other responses

- `4XX`: MCP error envelope. `error.code` is one of validation_failed, nothing_to_update, not_found, relation_not_found, invalid_transition, limit_exceeded, payment_required, duplicate_rejected, conflict, delete_blocked, unauthorized, forbidden, rate_limited, not_implemented.
- `5XX`: MCP error envelope with `error.code` internal_error or service_unavailable.
