# Delete company

`DELETE /api/companies/{sid}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer and API key in header `Team-SID`

Cascade soft-delete of one company from all member tables at once (per-table removal is detach_company_playtable; bulk deletion a playtable run). Soft blocker: queued or running paid cells are 409 delete_blocked; confirm, then pass acknowledge [cancel_cells]. Cells hard-delete by job; notes and activities soft-delete with the row; linked people survive, company_sid dangling (hydrates null) and their own company name shown. No recovery. Repeat answers already_deleted true.

Contract:
- MCP tool `delete_company`, registry package `mcp.playtables/companies`, mount `playtables.people`.
- Operation `delete`, response envelope `delete_cascade`.
- Flags: dangerous: the MCP layer gates it behind a preview/commit token, and the effect cannot be undone through this API.

## Path parameters

- `sid` string, required: The cr_co_* sid of the row to delete.

## Query parameters

- `acknowledge[]` string[]: Soft-blocker resolution codes the user confirmed. Closed enum; arbitrary strings → 422.

## Other responses

- `4XX`: MCP error envelope. `error.code` is one of validation_failed, nothing_to_update, not_found, relation_not_found, invalid_transition, limit_exceeded, payment_required, duplicate_rejected, conflict, delete_blocked, unauthorized, forbidden, rate_limited, not_implemented.
- `5XX`: MCP error envelope with `error.code` internal_error or service_unavailable.
