# checkout_in_progress

`POST checkout_in_progress` (webhook)

The `checkout_in_progress` webhook is sent when the checkout lifetime reaches its expiration while the latest payment is awaiting buyer action or has been submitted for processing.

Banking payment methods are typical examples where this webhook can be sent, as the payment processing can take several days depending on the bank processing times.

  - `id` string, id, required: The unique identifier of the event.
  - `type` 'checkout_in_progress', required: The type of event.
  - `version` 'v2', required: The version of the event type.
  - `occurred_at` string, date-time, required: UTC timestamp in ISO 8601 format with milliseconds ([RFC 3339](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc3339.html)). Always includes the 'Z' UTC indicator.
  - `data` object, required: The event data specific to each event type and version.
    - `id` string, id, required: The unique identifier of the checkout.
    - `origin` object, required
      - `type` string, required: The checkout origin type. - `api`: The checkout was created via the API.
    - `reference` string, required: An identifier in your system. It is recommended to make it unique but the uniqueness is not enforced by the solution.
    - `payment` object, required: The payment in progress pending to be confirmed its final status and associated with the checkout.
      - `id` string, id, required: The unique identifier of the payment.
      - `method` object, required: The payment method used.
        - `type` 'card' | 'sepa_direct_debit', required: The type of payment method.
      - `estimated_update_before` string, date-time: UTC timestamp in ISO 8601 format with milliseconds ([RFC 3339](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc3339.html)). Always includes the 'Z' UTC indicator.

## Acknowledgement `2XX`

Indicate success, the webhook will not be retried

## Other responses

- `429`: The webhook action will be retried according to the workflow retry schedule
- `4XX`: The webhook action will be disabled
- `5XX`: The webhook action will be retried according to the workflow retry schedule
