# Delete a table column

`DELETE /tables/{table_id}/columns/{column_id}/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.getoneprofile.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.getoneprofile.ai/tables/{table_id}/columns/{column_id}/`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Delete a column. Blocked while other formula columns depend on it, unless `replace_with_column_id` names the column their references should point at instead. The dependents are rewritten first, then the delete proceeds. Cancels ONLY the column's own lineage run; other active runs keep running and skip the deleted column. To delete a column together with its dependents (a whole column group, say), use the batch delete, where dependents inside the batch never block it.

- `column_id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `replace_with_column_id` string, uuid, nullable: Repoint dependent columns' references at this column before deleting. Omit to refuse the delete while dependents exist.

  - `count` integer: The number of resources that were deleted.
  - `detail` string, required: The detail of why the resource was deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Table column not found
- `422`: Invalid request made to the API.
- `500`: Internal server error.
- `502`: Bad gateway error.
- `503`: Service unavailable.
