# Remove a file added to an AI Assistant message before it was sent

`DELETE /chat-attachments/{attachment_id}/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.getoneprofile.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.getoneprofile.ai/chat-attachments/{attachment_id}/`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Remove a file you added and have not sent: the X on its card in the composer. A file already sent with a message stays with that message and is not found here.

- `attachment_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- SuccessfullyDeletedResponse
  - `count` integer: The number of resources that were deleted.
  - `detail` string, required: The detail of why the resource was deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: File not found
- `422`: Invalid request made to the API.
- `500`: Internal server error.
- `502`: Bad gateway error.
- `503`: Service unavailable.
