# Pause or resume the agent's own sending

`PUT /agent-sending/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.getoneprofile.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.getoneprofile.ai/agent-sending/`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Pausing holds every reply the agent would send on its own for a person to approve; writing carries on. Any signed-in person may pause; only an admin may resume. Not available to API keys, the assistant or MCP clients: this is a kill switch, and a person throws it.

## Request body

- AgentSendingUpdateSchema
  - `paused` boolean, required: True pauses every reply the agent would send on its own; they wait for a person instead. False lets them send again (admins only).
  - `reason` string, nullable: Why, kept in the switch's history.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- AgentSendingReadSchema
  - `changed_at` string, date-time, nullable, required: When this workspace's switch was last set; null if it never has been.
  - `changed_by` string, nullable, required: Clerk user id of whoever last set this workspace's switch; null if nobody has.
  - `paused` boolean, required: True when this workspace has paused the replies the agent sends on its own. Replies it writes still wait in Needs approval for a person.
  - `paused_everywhere` boolean, required: True when Oneprofile has paused the agent's own sending for every workspace. Nothing is sent unattended while it is, whatever `paused` says.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Asked through the assistant, or a member asked to resume.
- `422`: Invalid request made to the API.
- `500`: Internal server error.
- `502`: Bad gateway error.
- `503`: Service unavailable.
