# Start identity verification

`POST /affiliate/verification/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.getoneprofile.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.getoneprofile.ai/affiliate/verification/`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Create the hosted identity-verification flow and return its URL. The dashboard shows this only once a payout is actually available. Requires a signed-in user rather than an API key, and is rationed: each verification costs a fee, and starting one is a step a person takes, not a script.

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- IdentityVerificationReadSchema: A freshly created hosted identity-verification flow.
  - `url` string, required: Where to send the person to complete verification.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not enrolled.
- `422`: Invalid request made to the API.
- `500`: Internal server error.
- `502`: Bad gateway error.
- `503`: Service unavailable.
