# Delete the family (in-app, with password)

`POST /api/vega/family/delete`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getmyluna.app`
- URL: `https://getmyluna.app/api/vega/family/delete`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `luna_session`

Admin only. What the Settings button calls: `confirm` is the family name or `DELETE`, plus the admin's password. Same deletion as `DELETE /api/vega/family`, then the session is cleared. `403 wrong_password`; `429 rate_limited` after repeated wrong passwords.

## Request body

- FamilyDeleteConfirmRequest
  - `confirm` string, required: The family's name, or the word `DELETE`.
  - `password` string, required: The admin's current password, re-entered.

## Response `200`

  - `redirect` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials
- `403`: Forbidden, or `insufficient_scope` when a bearer token lacks the `write` scope
- `429`: Too Many Requests
