# Leave this family

`POST /api/vega/account/leave`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getmyluna.app`
- URL: `https://getmyluna.app/api/vega/account/leave`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `luna_session`

For caregivers who aren't the admin: deletes your own login, your API tokens and consent records; the family's log stays. Requires your password. The admin gets `403 admin_cannot_leave`.

## Request body

- LeaveFamilyRequest
  - `password` string, required: Your current password, re-entered.

## Response `200`

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials
- `403`: Forbidden, or `insufficient_scope` when a bearer token lacks the `write` scope
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Too Many Requests
