# Replace what the assistant remembers about the user

`PUT /v1/account/memory`

## Request

Runs `user.setMemoryNote`. Replaces the whole note (up to 4000 characters); learned preferences shown by `GET /v1/account/memory` are folded into it, so send back the edited text, not a delta. An empty or whitespace-only `note` clears the memory. Returns `{ success: true }`.
