`POST /api/people/verify`

Probe addresses the customer already holds. Free, no credit moves.

Runs as a job in a thread of this process, chunk by chunk, so the screen
can poll for live counts the way the Lists page shows a list verifying.
A job left behind by a restart is picked up by the reveal tick.
