# Request account deletion

`POST /me/deletion-request`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getdynamicqr.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://getdynamicqr.com/api/v1/me/deletion-request`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Client-ID` and HTTP bearer

Submits a request to permanently delete the account. An administrator
reviews it; nothing is deleted at this point and the account keeps
working until the request is approved.

Approval permanently erases the account, every QR code and its scan
history, link pages, business cards, short links, folders and all
uploaded images. It cannot be undone.

## Request body

- object
  - `reason` string, required: Why the account should be deleted (10–1000 chars).
  - `confirm` boolean, required: Must be true to acknowledge the deletion is permanent.

## Response `201`

Created

## Other responses

- `401`: No credentials, or credentials that are not valid.
- `403`: The account is inactive, or the plan does not carry this feature.
- `409`: Response
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. See `Retry-After`.
