# Activate or deactivate a verified domain

`PATCH /custom-domains/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getdynamicqr.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://getdynamicqr.com/api/v1/custom-domains/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Client-ID` and HTTP bearer

`is_verified` and `is_active` are independent: DNS proving you control the host is
one question, and whether short links should use it is another. Activating a domain
that has not been verified is refused.

- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- object
  - `is_active` boolean, required: Whether short links should use it.

## Response `200`

OK

## Other responses

- `401`: No credentials, or credentials that are not valid.
- `403`: The account is inactive, or the plan does not carry this feature.
- `422`: Validation failed
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. See `Retry-After`.
