# Assign an admin trial to a user.

`POST /admin/users/{id}/trial`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getdynamicqr.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://getdynamicqr.com/api/v1/admin/users/{id}/trial`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Client-ID` and HTTP bearer

Whether the customer is emailed about it follows the `trial_email_enabled` setting:
this door may be quieter than the admin panel, never louder. The trial is applied and
audited either way.

**Admin only.** The authenticated account must have the admin role.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- object
  - `trial_plan` string, required: normal or pro.
  - `trial_duration` string, required: 1d, 3d, 7d, 14d, 1m, 2m, 3m, 6m, 12m.

## Response `200`

OK

## Other responses

- `401`: No credentials, or credentials that are not valid.
- `403`: The account is inactive, or the plan does not carry this feature.
- `422`: Validation failed
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. See `Retry-After`.
