# Update Org Note

`PUT /api/org_notes/{note_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getdot.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.getdot.ai/api/org_notes/{note_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - API key in cookie `Authorization`
  - OAuth 2 (password, token URL `/api/auth/token`)

Save a note. A body without ``parent_id`` keeps the note's parent; null moves the note to
the top level. ``base_blob_sha`` is the version the editor opened: a note changed since
is merged with this edit, and an edit that overlaps the change answers 409
``note_edit_conflict``. ``base_active`` is whether it was active then: a save that keeps
that leaves an archive or restore made since in place. Without them the note is written as sent.
