# Start Dot Session Route

`POST /api/context-agent/chats/{chat_id}/dot_session`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getdot.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.getdot.ai/api/context-agent/chats/{chat_id}/dot_session`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - API key in cookie `Authorization`

Start a Dot session for an attended Context Agent run and return `{chat_id, url}`.

The new chat belongs to the Context Agent chat's user and runs in its environment;
see `app/context_agent/dot_session.py`.
