# Update Connection Groups

`POST /api/connection/update_groups`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getdot.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.getdot.ai/api/connection/update_groups`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - API key in cookie `Authorization`
  - OAuth 2 (password, token URL `/api/auth/token`)

Set the access groups on a connection. Admins and modelers only.

Empty/missing groups collapse to `["all_users"]` so a connection never
becomes orphaned and invisible to everyone.

  - `connection_id` string, required
  - `groups` string[], required
