# Load Chat2

`GET /api/c2/{chat_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getdot.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.getdot.ai/api/c2/{chat_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - API key in cookie `Authorization`
  - OAuth 2 (password, token URL `/api/auth/token`)

Load chat conversation with optional filtering and pair-based pagination.

Pagination is based on user-response pairs:
- Agentic: initial page defaults to 1 pair; history pages advertise 5
- Non-agentic: initial and history pages default to 5 pairs

Use offset to load older pairs (offset=0 = most recent, offset=1 = skip 1 pair, etc.)
Use include_all=true to get all messages without filtering (useful for debugging).

Credits: an answer's cost is the `credits` of its timeline `completed` event, and its
`message_uuid` is the `message_id` of its /api/export_history row. An answer copied from
another chat has `copied_from_chat_id` instead of `credits`.

## Path parameters

- `chat_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `include_all` boolean: Include all messages including tool messages
- `pairs` integer: Number of user-response pairs to return
- `offset` integer: Number of pairs to skip (0 = most recent)
- `page_only` boolean
- `message_uuid` string, nullable: Deep-link target. When set, locate the pair containing this message and return just that pair.
