# Update User Profile

`PUT /api/auth/user_profile`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getdot.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.getdot.ai/api/auth/user_profile`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - API key in cookie `Authorization`
  - OAuth 2 (password, token URL `/api/auth/token`)

Update user profile information: name and background (slack_title).

FIELD MAPPING NOTE:
The `slack_title` parameter stores the user's "Background" field from the UI.
This is a legacy naming convention from when the field was used for Slack integration.
UI label: "Background" -> API/DB field: "slack_title".
Personal notes (formerly "goals") are managed via the /user_memory endpoints.
