# Create User Mcp Token

`POST /api/auth/user/tokens/mcp`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getdot.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.getdot.ai/api/auth/user/tokens/mcp`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - API key in cookie `Authorization`
  - OAuth 2 (password, token URL `/api/auth/token`)

Create an MCP-scoped API token for the current user.

This endpoint is accessible to ALL authenticated users (not just admins).
It creates a token with limited MCP access only.
Ensures only one active MCP token exists per user.

Returns:
    Token response with the new MCP token (only shown once)
