# Api Prepare App Version

`POST /api/apps/{app_id}/versions/{sha}/build`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getdot.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.getdot.ai/api/apps/{app_id}/versions/{sha}/build`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - API key in cookie `Authorization`

Get a version ready to be looked at — the page asks this first so a
version that no longer builds is refused before anything on screen changes.
Returns the version with the id of the build that will serve it.
