# Api Enable Sharing

`POST /api/apps/{app_id}/share`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getdot.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.getdot.ai/api/apps/{app_id}/share`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - API key in cookie `Authorization`
  - OAuth 2 (password, token URL `/api/auth/token`)

Enable sharing and return an embed link.

Token creation is allowed regardless of the org's "Public links" setting —
like chat share links, the link itself is gated at view time (see
_enforce_public_link_access): with public links off, only signed-in org
members can open it.

Anyone who can edit the app can manage its public link. The embed still
executes as the app owner and remains subject to the app's public-data policy.
