# Get Franchises

`GET /api/franchises`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.getcheapgames.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

A page of series we can price a game for, the most popular first, or A-Z.

Filtered the same way as the publisher index: a series is listed when a
game in it has a matching offer, and the count says how many do.

`limit` stays optional so the sitemap can still ask for every row in one
call; the paging headers are only meaningful when it is set.

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer, nullable
- `offset` integer: How many rows to skip
- `on_sale` boolean: Only offers marked down by their store
- `stores` string[], nullable: Store codes
- `platforms` string[], nullable: Canonical platforms
- `genres` string[], nullable: Steam genre descriptions
- `regions` string[], nullable: Offer regions
- `types` string[], nullable: game, dlc, pass, soundtrack or free; anything else is ignored
- `sort` 'popular' | 'name': popular (the default): most played first; name: 0-9 then A-Z
- `country` string, nullable: ISO country code; its currency is used
- `currency` string, nullable: One of EUR, GBP, USD, CAD, CHF, DKK, SEK, NOK, PLN, CZK, HUF, BRL, MXN, CLP, COP, PEN, CRC, UYU, GTQ
