# Update an AI incident

`PATCH /api/v1/rbi/incidents/{id}`

Partial update: only the members present in the body are applied.

This operation does NOT change the incident's status. Status is a
lifecycle transition rather than a field edit; the terminal one is
`POST /api/v1/rbi/incidents/{id}/resolve`.

PATCH, not PUT — see the note on `PATCH /api/v1/rbi/validations/{id}`.
