# Create the authenticated tenant's Hosted Starter checkout

`POST /api/v1/billing/checkout`

Creates a Stripe Checkout subscription session for the authenticated
Community SaaS tenant. The tenant is taken only from validated Basic
credentials; no tenant identifier is accepted in the body. Available
only when the paid-hosted launch gate and billing configuration are
ready. Repeated requests are idempotent within the checkout generation.

- `401`: Missing or invalid tenant credentials
- `409`: Tenant already has an active entitlement or recent pending checkout
