# Create Agent Run

`POST /v2/agents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.getauctor.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.getauctor.com/v2/agents`
- Auth: none declared

## Request body

- AgentRunCreateRequest
  - `prompt` string, required
  - `request_id` string, nullable: Idempotency key; two runs with one request_id start one fire.
  - `timezone` string
  - `user_id` string, nullable: Run-as user for org-level (sk_) API keys, which carry no user context of their own. Ignored for OAuth callers: their token identifies the user.

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- AgentRunCreateResponse
  - `task_id` string, required: Opaque agent run identifier.
  - `request_id` string, required
  - `status` string, required

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Agent run limit reached for this user in this organization. No run was created. Two limits apply, both per user per organization: at most 25 concurrent runs (runs that are `pending` or `running` and were created within the last 12 hours), and at most 100 runs started per rolling 24 hours. These are the defaults; an organization's limits may be adjusted. Wait for one of your runs to finish (or for the usage window to roll over), then retry; there is no `Retry-After` header.
