# List a knowledge document's direct children

`GET /api/knowledge/{id}/children`

Returns the direct children of one knowledge document as a flat, lite-shape list.

- `archived` boolean

## Response `200`

The document's direct children.

  - `docs` KnowledgeDocSummary[]
    - `_id` string: Document ID.
    - `name` string: Document title.
    - `emoji` string, nullable
    - `iconUrl` string, nullable
    - `accessType` 'public' | 'publicReadonly' | 'private'
    - `parentId` string, nullable: Parent document ID, or null for a root document.
    - `rank` integer, nullable: Sort order among siblings. May be null.
    - `archived` boolean

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid or missing API key.
- `404`: Document not found.
