# Create a field group

`POST /api/board/{boardId}/configuration/groups`

## Request

Adds a field group (section) to the board. Only `name` is required. `fieldUuids` lists the board's
fields to put in the group, in order; each must be a field on the board and may appear once.
`required` and `pinned` default to false. Task groups, auto-assignment and subgroups can't be set
here. Requires `update` permission and "Edit Boards" access (not needed on a board that same key
created).

  - `fieldUuids` string[]: Uuids of fields on the board, in the order they should appear in the group.

  - `pinned` boolean

## Response `201`

The created group.

## Other responses

- `400`: `VALIDATION_ERROR`, or a field uuid that isn't on the board or is listed twice.
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key.
- `403`: The key lacks `update` permission or the "Edit Boards" access, or the board isn't API-enabled.
- `404`: Board not found.
