# Estimate Scan

`GET /api/v1/report-ai/trend-scans/estimate`

Count investigations that would be eligible for a scan with the given inputs.

Uses the same eligibility filter as the real scan loader so the modal
estimate matches what gets scanned. Returns counts only — no row loading.

## Query parameters

- `report_agent_id` string, uuid, required
- `window_start` string, date-time, required
- `window_end` string, date-time, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ScanEstimateResponse
  - `eligible_count` integer, required
  - `excluded` object, required

## Other responses

- `422` — Validation Error
