# Send Assistant Test Message

`POST /api/v1/assistant-groups/{group_id}/test-messages`

Send a message to the assistant as a guest, from the cockpit.

Runs the guest pipeline on your own test thread and returns what a guest
would have seen: the reply, a reaction, and changes held for Confirm.
Nothing is sent to WhatsApp, the thread never appears in production logs,
and every write the assistant makes here is a dry run.

- `404`: No assistant here, or the feature is off for this workspace
