# Adjust the party size

`POST /api/v1/bookings/{id}/party-size`

## Request

Increases are validated against the day-level capacity cap (date override → recurring default → floor), per-slot cover pacing, and physical table fit — each excluding the booking's own current covers/table, so only the net-new covers count. `force: true` bypasses these guards and writes a FORCE_OVERBOOK_CAPACITY staff-override audit row (same semantics as POST /bookings' `force_overbook`).
