# Healthcare cost and financial exposure by country

Out-of-pocket spend per person, out-of-pocket share, total health spend per capita (PPP), government funding share, physicians per 1,000 and dentists per 10,000, across 182 countries. Measured from World Bank and WHO Global Health Observatory series, never derived from a price index: scaling healthcare by a country's general price level overstates costs abroad by 1.2x-5.4x. Dental is reported as access (dentist density), not price. National averages; not medical, insurance or financial advice.

## Response `200`

Ranked countries with per-metric reference years and an attribution block.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid parameter (bad sort, or a negative filter).
- `422`: Unknown country code.
