# Delete a candidate

`DELETE /v0/candidates/{candidate_id}`

Deletes a candidate based on ID.

  - `permanently_remove_contact_info` boolean: Prevent the deleted candidate's contact info from being added back to Gem
  - `on_behalf_of_user_id` string, ObjectID, required
