# Start Checkout

`POST /api/checkout/start`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.gateco.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: OAuth 2 (password, token URL `/api/auth/login`)

Create a Stripe Checkout Session for plan upgrade.

## Request body

- CheckoutRequest: Request to start a checkout session.
  - `plan_id` string, required
  - `billing_period` string

## Response `200`

  - `checkout_url` string, required
  - `session_id` string, required
