# Update marker metadata

`PUT /application/{applicationId}/analytics/v1/markers/metadata`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.gamebeast.gg`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Sets descriptions and visibility for marker types and their arguments, in one atomic batch. Names do not need to have been sent yet, so events can be described before the game ships them. Omitted fields keep their current value; pass a null or empty description to clear it.

    - `markerType` string, required: Marker type name. Does not need to have been sent yet.
    - `hidden` boolean: Hide from (true) or show in (false) query-builder listings. Omit to leave unchanged.
    - `description` string, nullable: Human description of what this records and when it fires. Pass null or an empty string to clear it; omit to leave it unchanged.
  - `arguments` object[]: Argument changes (at most 500).
    - `markerType` string, required: Marker type name.
    - `argumentName` string, required: Argument name. Does not need to have been sent yet.
    - `hidden` boolean: Hide from (true) or show in (false) query-builder listings. Omit to leave unchanged.
    - `description` string, nullable: Human description of what this records and when it fires. Pass null or an empty string to clear it; omit to leave it unchanged.
