# Stop stream

`POST /v1/tokens/{tokenName}/stop-stream`

Stop the current stream

## Response `default`

Shared error envelope for stream stop failures.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - missing or invalid JWT token in Authorization header
- `403`: Forbidden - user lacks STOP_STREAM permission or user is banned
- `404`: Token not found or stream not currently active
- `500`: Internal server error - Mux API failure or database error while stopping stream
