# Apply preset

`POST /cdn/presets/{preset_id}/applied`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.gcore.com`
- URL: `https://api.gcore.com/cdn/presets/{preset_id}/applied`
- Auth: HTTP apikey

Apply the preset to an object (CDN resource or rule, according to the preset `object_type`).

The preset settings are applied to the object, and the options included in the preset can no longer be edited on the object until the preset is unapplied.

## Path parameters

- `preset_id` integer, required

## Request body

- ApplyPresetRequest
  - `object_id` integer, required: ID of the object (CDN resource or rule, according to the preset `object_type`) to apply the preset to.

## Response `201`

Successful.

- ApplyPresetResponse
  - `preset_id` integer, required: ID of the preset that is applied to the object. Matches the `preset_id` path parameter.
  - `object_id` integer, required: ID of the object (CDN resource or rule, according to the preset `object_type`) the preset is applied to.
  - `message` string: Deprecated. Use `preset_id` and `object_id` instead. This field is kept for backward compatibility and will be removed in a future version.

## Other responses

- `400`: You will receive an error with the invalid parameter mentioned. Possible reasons: - The object does not exist. - The object already has an applied preset. - The preset requires the Streaming service, which is not available on your tariff plan.
- `404`: Preset does not exist.
