# Delete a custom column (its values go with it)

`DELETE /business/lists/{listId}/columns/{columnId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.tryfuse.ai/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.tryfuse.ai/api/v1/business/lists/{listId}/columns/{columnId}`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Removes a custom or smart column from the list together with every cell value it held. The column must exist on that list (404 COLUMN_NOT_FOUND otherwise); the deletion cannot be undone.

Errors:
- `404` `COLUMN_NOT_FOUND` — No column with that id exists on the list.
- `404` `LIST_NOT_FOUND` — No list with that id is visible to the token owner.
- `422` `VALIDATION_FAILED` — listId or columnId is not a 24-hex id.
- `429` `RATE_LIMITED` — The lists rate bucket is exhausted.

Requires one of the following token scopes: lists.

## Path parameters

- `listId` string, required: 24-character hex id of the list (from GET /business/lists).
- `columnId` string, required: 24-character hex id of the custom column (from GET /business/lists/{listId}/columns).

## Response `204`
