# Turn a site's weekly drop check off

`POST /v1/sites/{site}/search/alerts/disable`

## Request

Turn a site's weekly drop check off: no new checks or alerts; the pinned pages and queries and every past alert stay, and gsc_alerts_enable turns it back on. Turn it off only when your human asked. Never billing-gated.

## Path parameters

- `site` string, required: Site ID (site_…), origin (https://example.com), or bare domain, resolved server-side; the response carries the canonical ID.

  - `dry_run` boolean: true: check the call and say what it would do, without doing it.
  - `confirm` boolean: true: go ahead with a change that asks for confirmation.
