# Pin a page or query to a site's weekly drop check

`POST /v1/sites/{site}/search/alert-watches`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://frontshelf.io/api`
- URL: `https://frontshelf.io/api/v1/sites/{site}/search/alert-watches`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Pin a page (its URL) or a query (its text) to a site's weekly drop check, beside the site, its page groups and keyword clusters and the 25 pages and 25 queries with the most clicks; at most 50 pinned a site. Give `page` or `query`, never both. A page must sit under the site's Search Console properties (VALIDATION_FAILED otherwise); a pin already there is answered as it is. A pinned subject is judged once it has 379 days of figures (sudden falls) and 421 (lasting falls). Pin only what your human asked to watch. Paid (alerts): BILLING_REQUIRED on a site that is not paid for.

## Path parameters

- `site` string, required: Site ID (site_…), origin (https://example.com), or bare domain, resolved server-side; the response carries the canonical ID.

## Request body

- object
  - `page` string: A page's URL to pin. Give `page` or `query`, never both.
  - `query` string: A query's text to pin, at most 500 characters.
  - `dry_run` boolean: true: check the call and say what it would do, without doing it.
  - `confirm` boolean: true: go ahead with a change that asks for confirmation.
