# Read one growth idea

`GET /v1/ideas/{idea_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://frontshelf.io/api`
- URL: `https://frontshelf.io/api/v1/ideas/{idea_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

One growth idea: its kind, state and version, the report row's figures (in its `observed` block, with the pages under the search), its window, its history oldest first, its attempts newest first (a reported pull request included), its `work_order` (what Frontshelf saw, the page as last read, the goal, what Frontshelf will check, and how to hand the change back for the site's agent mode), and the steps legal now (`legal_actions`, in capability names). Read it before you change anything, and again when a step answers VERSION_CONFLICT. Only Frontshelf marks an idea fixed, when it reads the change on the page; fixed never means more clicks. Paid (reports): BILLING_REQUIRED on a site not paid for.

## Path parameters

- `idea_id` string, required: The idea's id (idea_…), as ideas_list and ideas_get give it.

## Response `200`
