# Link conversations

`POST /conversations/{conversation_id}/linked_conversations`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api2.frontapp.com`
- URL: `https://api2.frontapp.com/conversations/{conversation_id}/linked_conversations`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Adds conversations to the link group of the conversation in the path, which becomes the original conversation of the group.
If it belongs to no group yet, a new one is formed. A conversation belongs to at most one group, and a conversation that
was linked to another one cannot become an original conversation.


Required scope: `conversations:write`

## Path parameters

- `conversation_id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `conversation_ids` string[], required: IDs of the conversations to link to the conversation in the path.

## Response `204`

No content

## Other responses

- `301`: If the conversation has been merged, the response redirects you to the merged conversation.
- `400`: If a conversation is linked to itself, if no ids or more than 20 ids are supplied, if one of them already belongs to a group, or if the conversation in the path was itself linked to another conversation.
- `403`: If your plan does not include linked conversations.
- `404`: If the conversation in the path or one of the conversations to link does not exist or is not accessible.
