# Send quote by email

`POST /v1/quotes/{quoteId}/send`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.frihet.io`
- URL: `https://api.frihet.io/v1/quotes/{quoteId}/send`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Send the quote to a recipient via email. If the quote is in `draft` status, it will be automatically changed to `sent`.

## Path parameters

- `quoteId` string, required

## Request body

- SendEmailRequest
  - `recipientEmail` string, email, required: Recipient email address
  - `recipientName` string: Recipient name
  - `customMessage` string: Optional custom message to include in the email
  - `locale` 'es' | 'en': Email language

## Response `200`

Quote sent

- object
  - `success` boolean
  - `messageId` string: Email provider message ID

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - invalid parameters or request body
- `401`: Authentication required or invalid API key
- `404`: Resource not found
- `422`: Fiscal profile not configured
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (100 requests per minute)
- `500`: Internal server error
