# Remove billable flag from expense

`DELETE /v1/expenses/{expenseId}/billable`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Remove the billable flag from an expense. The expense must not already
be invoiced — once invoiced, the billable flag cannot be removed.

- `expenseId` string, required

Billable flag removed

- `400`: Bad request - invalid parameters or request body
- `401`: Authentication required or invalid API key
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (100 requests per minute)
