# Adds a new property or events for a given group group

`POST /v1/public/groups`

- AddPropertyOrEventsToUserGroupDTO
  - `userId` string: The ID of the user as defined in your own application
  - `groupId` string, required: The ID of the group as defined in your own application
  - `properties` object: Optional properties to add to the group
  - `events` ExternalizedTrackingEvent[]: Optional tracking events to add to the group
    - `event` string, required: The name of the tracking event
    - `properties` object: The properties of the tracking event

## Response `201`

The group has been successfully created or updated
