# Request spot quotes for shipment

`POST /v2.0/shipments/truckload/quotes/{shipmentId}/request`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.freightview.dev`
- URL: `https://api.freightview.dev/v2.0/shipments/truckload/quotes/{shipmentId}/request`
- Auth: OAuth 2 (client credentials, token URL `/v2.0/auth/token`)

This endpoint can be used to request spot quotes from carriers for a truckload shipment.

## Path parameters

- `shipmentId` string, required

## Request body

- ExternalRequestQuotesDTO
  - `emails` string[], required: The carrier email addresses from whom to request quotes.
  - `message` string: A field to add an additional message to the request for quotes. This message will be appended to the shipment details which will be included automatically.

## Response `204`

No Content

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `402`: Payment Required
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `429`: Rate Limit Exceeded
- `500`: Internal Server Error
