# Freight Identifier Validator

`GET /api/validate`

## Request

Parse ANY text (e.g. a booking line or email) to find and validate every freight identifier in it — shipping container (ISO 6346), air waybill (IATA modulus-7) and IMO ship number. Or pass value + type (container|awb|imo) to validate a single one. Structural check-digit validation only.

## Response `200`

Validation result: every identifier found, each with check-digit verdict + _source.

- ValidateResponse: Structural validation result. `found` lists every identifier detected (ordered by position); `note` is present when nothing was found.

    - `raw` string, required: The candidate as found in the input
    - `normalised` string, required: Canonical form (uppercased / dashed)
    - `valid` boolean, required: Check-digit pass/fail (structural only)

      - `actual` integer, nullable
    - `details` object, required: Type-specific: container → owner_prefix, equipment_category, equipment_category_label, serial; awb → airline_prefix, serial, airline{name,iata,icao}|null (a prefix held by several records: airline null + airline_candidates[{name,iata,icao,status?}] + airline_note); imo → number; malformed → error.
    - `_source` object, required: Methodology citation for the identifier scheme.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error (neither text nor value+type supplied, or invalid type).
