# Create site

`POST /sites`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://next.frase.io/api/v1`
- URL: `https://next.frase.io/api/v1/sites`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Create a new website to track and manage content for.

## Request body

- CreateSiteInput
  - `name` string, required: Display name for the site
  - `domain` string, required: Domain name (e.g., example.com). Protocol and trailing slashes are automatically removed.
  - `description` string: Optional description of the site

## Response `201`

Site created successfully

  - `id` string, uuid
  - `name` string
  - `domain` string
  - `description` string, nullable
  - `created_at` string, date-time
  - `request_id` string

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed
- `401`: Authentication failed
- `429`: Rate limited, or the org's monthly brief limit blocked minting the refreshed brief (only the FIRST supersession of a brief is billing-exempt; repeats meter normally)
