# Update a redirect

`PATCH /cms/redirects/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://next.frase.io/api/v1`
- URL: `https://next.frase.io/api/v1/cms/redirects/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Update a redirect's target, status code, or active flag. `site_id` scopes the lookup. `status_code` must be one of 301, 302, 307, 308.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

  - `site_id` string, uuid, required: Required. The site the redirect belongs to.
  - `to_path` string: New destination path.
  - `status_code` 301 | 302 | 307 | 308: New HTTP redirect status.
  - `is_active` boolean: Enable or disable the redirect.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed
- `401`: Authentication failed
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate limited, or the org's monthly brief limit blocked minting the refreshed brief (only the FIRST supersession of a brief is billing-exempt; repeats meter normally)
